On April 3rd, 1933, two British aircraft won the race to be first to fly over Mount Everest. One Westland open-cockpit biplane was piloted by the Marquis of Douglas and Clydesdale, the other by RAF Flt. Lt. David McIntyre. Brian Milton and John Hunt will celebrate this achievement by attempting to be the first to replicate this in Microlights . This event is timed to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ historic first flight.
